Hello, I’m Juan
Recent Personal Projects
Innovative Construction Banner Graphic DesignFebruary 2026A large construction banner concept design utilizing a very modern approach to some extent in order to retain acceptable feasibility aspects.
I am UI & Graphic Designer based in Indonesia. I love designing fresh, innovative, intuitive, human-centered products following latest global trends.
My experiments have covered numerous design trends throughout the past 5 years (e.g Minimalism, Brutalism, NeoBrutalism, Bauhaus, Solar, Glassmorphism, Neumorphism, Bento Grid, Retro, Low Light, etc) and implementing them into my personal projects while preserving the feasibility aspect. I wish to create something that are not just functional, but also aesthetically pleasant and meaningful. I have implemented design to consider several aspects of human society - business, hobbies, scheduling assistance, psychology, public welfare, and more - to create better service.
My Graphic Design/GD products are mostly based on my experience during the internship at OutClass Indonesia, college projects, and my work at Yuramasa Industri. Specific to GD topic, I always prefer “Less is More” to put more emphasis on feasibility, clarity, efficiency, and impact. In comparison, my digital and traditional 2D illustrations are more leaning towards Decorative & Maximalism due to my fondness of detailed matters, geometric art, Art Nouveau, and Arabesque.

More About Myself
When I was not on business time, I would usually sing, draw, play piano & ukulele, watch docuseries, read books & articles, or even go for random culinary hunt. I also have a separate web-portfolio dedicated specifically for my 3D creations, in which some of them are sold on a 3D assets market. Go to this link below:
Basic Shape = Heraldic Crest: reminiscent of medieval dynasties emblem due to the fact I often draw inspiration from “Dark Age” fantasy setting to create my artworks
Twin Dragons: a balance of strength/ambitions as well as the foundation of most of my 2D creations [the fantasy world]
Foliage Arabesque: a desire to grow, “flow” with the currents, and a symbol of sustainability
Circular Mandala: a search for personal individuation and authenticity in the middle of complex “chaos”
Twin Birds: a desire to elevate myself through learning anything new non-stop

Most of my creations would include some aspects of Geometric Art, either in terms of composition, precision, or visual decorative shapes. I consider Geometric Art a timeless style which can serve as a bridge between cultural/traditionalism and modern design. Thus, it offers a very remarkable design versatility/flexibility. When incorporated into a typical modern minimalist design, it can produce an unorthodox yet vibrant and lively brand identity without significantly compromising the product’s feasibility.Personal Favorite Style Geometrism

Character Concept & ExpressionsThis is a character design project focused on expressive storytelling through simplified vector illustration. The concept centers on the rare black-footed ferret, reimagined as a charming, human-raised character capable of mimicking human emotions. The character is designed as 2D Vector art. This project explores emotional range through many core expressions—Happy, Angry, Laughing, etc —using clean shapes, soft earthy color, and minimal line detailing. It has clear silhouette for readability, exaggerated facial expressions for emotional clarity, and consistent character proportion.

Museum Construction Banner DesignIdeation & Low-Fidelity Sketch
This large-format outdoor banner was designed to generate anticipation for a new museum launch while integrating seamlessly into an active construction environment. The concept combines bold typography, high-contrast neon accents, asymmetrical composition, and architectural visualization to create a striking, contemporary announcement piece. I incorporate Brutalism Art with Minimalist Design in order to attempt a slight “chaotic” yet still elegantly feasible concept. Brutalism style is chosen because it emanates a very raw power and jarring composition as an emphasis of functionality.Magenta carries the main headline title, which has the largest font size, to ensure maximum readability from a distance. Neon Green elements act as directional cues, guiding the viewer’s eye toward the unveiling date. Repeated “Under Construction” strips at the top and bottom echo the physical construction fence setting, blending environmental storytelling with functional signage and clarity. At the bottom-left, a smaller black box is given to contain the further information regarding the construction. The building shown in the final product is my personal 3D architecture creation.Font Type: Inter [Regular, Semi Bold, Bold] Font Sizes: 12, 16, 20, 24, 48 pt Coloration: 181818 [Black], FF65C1 [Magenta], DCFF19 [Neon Green]

Indonesian Spices Packaging DesignSketch & Low-Fidelity ConceptFont Type: Arial [Regular, Semi Bold, Bold] Font Sizes: 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 32 pt Coloration: Varied [depends of each spice’s color palette]
High-Fidelity Renders
This project explores a contemporary packaging system for premium Indonesian spices, designed to elevate traditional ingredients into a globally competitive retail product line. The concept focuses on combining cultural richness with modern Minimalism, creating a vibrant yet structured visual identity suitable for specialty markets and export distribution. Bauhaus Art style also plays a huge part in my design because I consider such art style as a total raw craftmanship when applied in 2D design, achieved by symbolically incorporating the architecture disciplines into graphic design, which ended up creating a specific result called Gesamtkuntswork [Total Work of Art]. The product range includes Massoia Bark, Cubeb Pepper, Andaliman Pepper, Butterfly Pea, and Torch Ginger — each representing unique regional flavors from across the Indonesian archipelago. The goal was to communicate authenticity, origin, and quality while maintaining strong shelf impact. A bold, color-coded pouch is meant to reflect its flavor intensity and botanical character of each spice. The front section show the product’s name, short description, nett, and other necessary information. Meanwhile, the back section presents a quick authentic recipe recommendations

Nigerian Spices Packaging DesignSketch & Low-Fidelity ConceptThis is modern retail packaging concept to showcase indigenous exotic Nigerian spices through a clean, structured, and contemporary visual identity for retail marketplace. The design combines minimal typography, bold color coding, and realistic spice imagery in the style of Minimalism and a slight Heritage Revival due to the presence of cursive texts. Nigeria is rich in culinary heritage, with spices such as Grains of Selim, Calabash Nutmeg, etc playing essential roles in regional cuisine. However, many traditional spice products in the market lack modern retail appeal. The packaging follows a modular cube structure, creating a strong architectural presence that communicates clear value. The clean grid-based layout ensures consistency across the entire product line while allowing each spice to maintain its individual personality. The front panel features a clear product window image, “100% Natural” quality badge, weight specification, and origin mark, ensuring transparency and consumer trust. The heavily-bold product title is meant for immediate recognition. The cube-based structural packaging enhances stackability and retail display efficiency, while the consistent grid layout system maintains strong brand recognition across the entire product line. Each color palette is carefully selected to reflect the essence of the spice — warm reds and earthy tones for bold, aromatic varieties; greens and yellows for fresh, nutty, or peppery profiles; cooler tones for dried fruits and fermented ingredients. This strategic use of color not only enhances shelf visibility but also strengthens brand recognition when displayed as a collection.
